South Coast Craft Beer Brewery Tour- The Ultimate Distillery, Brewery and Pub Experience

Allow South Coast Journeys to host the ultimate South Coast Craft Beer Brewery and Distillery experience for your group. All tours include includes a visit to 4 breweries with 3-4 craft beer tasting paddles and a gourmet burger (beef/chicken/slow cooked pulled pork/vego) with chips. This tour can take you from the Northern Suburbs of the Illawarra ‘The Coal Coast’, through the inner city of Wollongong and sometimes drifts as far South as Gerringong; through quaint townships and the rolling green hills of the South Coast. The area has a thriving Craft Beer culture where visitors have the unique experience of meeting the Brewers at the Brewery’s Door and get a sneak peak into the ‘art and science’ of making a fine craft beer.

Times: Pick up from approx. 11:00 am. Return to  address by approx.6:00 pm. Please note times are approximate, pending groups location.

Further Information and Brewery Door Experience: You will have knowledgeable staff explain the range of craft beers on tap, their tastes and the grain, hop and malt varieties used in their production. At at least one brewery you will get a behind the scenes talk on ‘ the art and science of beer making’.

Lunch: A gourmet burger lunch using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients accompanied by your choice of beer or cider is organised at one of the breweries or a local restaurant. Lunch can be taken out of the price and ordered at venue of your choosing.

Transport is by air-conditioned minibus with stereo options to play music from your phone.  While drinking on the bus is allowed - BYO and is limited to two drinks per person. Breweries may choose to refuse tasting experience if members of the group are intoxicated! RSA laws will be enforced.

1. Craft Beer Brewery Experience - Extra $20-$30 per person. Including a 3 craft beer tasting paddle.

2. Three Spirit Tastings at Headlands Distillery Undertake the ‘Grain to Glass Tour’ including tastings of locally produced Gin, Vodka and Illawarra Plum and learn how the spirits are made at this rustic distillery. Extra $20-$30 per person.
